BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE DECORATIVE ENCAUSTIC 66 PIECE MINTON FLOOR TILE SET. The whole set measures up at 3 ft square and each tile is 3 quarters of an inch thick. An incredible 66 piece set made up of various sizes by Herbert Minton C1870. Herbert was part of the Minton Family, who are renowned to this day for their introduction to. "Encaustic" tile technique, which meant clays of different colours to be used in the same tile, allowing far greater decorative possibilities. This is an incredibly rare piece, all in tact and kept in condition. We salvaged it from a hotel that was being demolished in the late 90s, and it has been in storage ever since. There are some minor chips and scratches which i have included in the photos, which are to be expected given their age. Collection on this item only.
